(Bernama) - The Dewan Rakyat was today told that 304,358 Malaysians migrated from March 2008 till August this year.
Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A. Kohilan Pillay said the figure for 2007 was 139,696 citizens.“Among the factors for their migration were because of education, brighter career or business prospects as well following their spouses for Malaysians who married foreigners,” he said when replying to a question for Chua Tee Yong (BN-Labis) on the matter.
To a supplementary question from Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (PAS-Kuala Selangor), Kohilan said the Science, Technology and Innovations and Human Resources ministries were making efforts to get Malaysians abroad to come home among others through a “brain gain” programme.

The Malays who are happy with this brain drain now, will rue the day in the not too distant future as the 'cake or pie' turns into mud and there is nothing worth fighting for in Malaysia... the billions and billions salted away (abroad) by the corrupt BN/UMNO, mean our ringgit is on a free fall and I can only forsee a very bleak future for a non-competitive, regressive country mired in their little tempurong of race and religion.

And the biggest insult - if you get a job overseas, e.g. in the Middle East, Msian passport holders are paid the same rate as Bangladeshis, Indians, Indonesians, Filipinos etc. However, other nationalities like Singaporeans, Australians etc are paid top expat bucks.
So the Malaysian passport is a passport to poverty and it's value is in continual decline.

Keep the bumis as clueless and blind worshippers of UMNO god, so that UMNOputeras can continue to plunder the stupid bumis who pledge loyalty for RM50-100 per vote.
Malaysia shall be high income nation with more bumi graduates. Soon RM100,00 can buy 2 plates of nasi lemak, just like rupiah and peso.
I look forward to the day I can hire 10 bumi domestic maids, 1 bumi chauffeur and 1 bumi garderner, all graduates of UiTM and Mara.
Instead of courting former Malaysians to "come home" what is BN doing to stop Malaysians from FLEEING this corrupt country? Ministries making efforts? Please don't make me laugh!

Malaysians are cursed by having the three regimes of government, dating back from Mahathir ( being the axis of all evils ), Badawi ( the ever sleeping bonker ) and Najib ( the infamous womanizer ). All of them have one thing in common – corrupt, arrogant and racist.
I suppose all right-thinking Malaysians, Malays and non-Malays alike, are feeling equally hopeless about the future. We shouldn’t be surprised if the statistics shows the majority of the emigrants in recent years are Malays who are intellect.

It is not a wonder why there are so many emigrants in recent months and no thanks to umno/bn's zealous ambition to rob and rape this country at their whims and fancy and by painting the bumi-less as the ''evil asian jews''.
Gomen has been using the ''brain gain'' slogan so much so it is already sounding like a broken record, no one is taking it seriously anymore. Furthermore, umno/bn cannot allow for the brains (mostly built up from teh bumi-less segment of the community) back into the country for the fear of them making the gomen look bad and consequently taking over the helm of this country.
It is the ambition of umno/bn to ensure that the rakyat of Malaysia to remain like the 'katak bawah tempurung' and be lead by the nose rings. With ISA and other means of institutionalised discrimination towards the bumi-less they have one alternative and that is to emigrate to another country as it is no different being in a foreign land as they are already a 2nd and 3rd class citizen in their homeland anyway.
Let us all give umno/bn their wish is ridding this country of the bumi-less, let them play in their own play ground although we all grew up playing in that play ground but we are being told to 'get lost' or 'balik tongsan' as it they claim to owns it now. Let us all continue on in increasing the emigration statistics for the years to come. Let them commit hara-kiri while we go on progressing in another mans land where we can expect a better acceptance to our contributions.

Take the case of Noordin Top, the Islamist terrorist. UMNO even said that they would have loved to have Top back home for rehabilation. Imagine an out-and-out terrorist killing innocent people and destroying properties for nothing(sorry, for God). But Chin Peng, a non-Malay, was not allowed to return to his roots in Sitiawan, even though UMNO signed a peace treaty allowing them to do so, not even on a social pass.
Yes, it's all about racism and apartheid, and ketuanan.
And MOOyiddin and Sharizat Ali says BTN courses is good and O.K. despite all the condemnations from past attendees. I wonder whether these two have any inkling what BTN courses are all about. And in many cases, only Malays were allowed or asked to attend the courses. That should give the rakyat a big clue.

what have we as parents and loyal (and permanent) citizens done about this matter? we say if you get tons more money, take it -- but don't plan long term. it pains, but we say go where the future's bright, go where you are recognised and rewarded for your abilities and skills, where you fight to prove yourself. we say don't be concerned about us two oldies, we will live out our days here - and end our line here with us (after all, aren't we pendatangs?) but there's a whole wide future out there for them.
and to Oscar Winner, sure let in that 6 million or whatever Indon, Pakistan, Iran, Bangladash, Philiphines and make them new bumi/umnoputras. then what? millions of obedient supporters? hey, who has taken over those roadside businesses in kl run by our own ahmads? west germany and then others in western europe saw the same threat of immigrants causing linguistic, cultural, religious, educational, health, housing etc problems. that a solution for our brain drain? how about present day britain where that children's song Old MacDonald cannot be sung in some pre-schools anymore (cos that "oink oink" is offensive!) and in a predominantly christian country with predominantly christian traditions and customs centuries old the Cross cannot be displayed in state run schools (yes offensive). and yet some people (not even born in britain) demand, as their right, to wear clothing according to their religion!!! to take the cake, the british court has blocked repatriation of religious extremist illegals because their human rights are endangered at home ie they are so dangerous to society even their own home countries might just hang them!
ok, none of this is to suggest that any one of the proposed millions are dangerous extremists, or that the govt will willfully admit such people. just that nations, and people in charge, must think and plan well ahead; industrial west germany of the 60's was just blinded by the post-war economic boom and the cheap pakistani labour offered.
looks like we are blindly following that road, with a difference: germany didnt lose its brains in gaining that manpower.

This reason is racism. The mothers and fathers would not be asking their children to stay away from Malaysia because life is harder in Malaysia. It is because parents (Chinese and Indian) don’t see a future for their children or their grandchildren here. Why? Ask yourself why?
Lets talk about education – It is so stressful on a child and on their parents until hopefully their child reaches university. This is because our government is trying their best to suppress the Chinese and Indian children from getting a good education. Parents have to save hard for the children’s education overseas. Low level of education for a poor Indian and Chinese person would mean they cannot find a job. As it is today only the top 10% of the best brains from the Indian and Chinese community make it into local university. The government is trying their best to push that t0% percentage down to zero. Do the next generation of Indian and Chinese have any chance for a good education? Would a parent want their child to go through what they have done through?
Lets talk about jobs – The government sector is for the Malays and the private sector has quotas to ensure the Malays also get their fair share. The Indian and Chinese people must fight for the remaining positions in the private sector. When the private sector has got to many Chinese and Indian executives the government makes noise. When the government sector has many Malay executives nobody can say anything.
Let’s talk about our government – The BN government is completely corrupt and is sucking the country dry. There is no rule of law or police to take care of the people, unless you are connected to the government.
Parents are not blind. Everyone in Malaysia must live in harmony and not trying to suppress one another. The ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ is supposed to help Malays and not to suppress the others. When I talk about Malays I do not mean all Malays because I have some very nice Malay friends. Those Malays who are supporting the Government better realise they are destroying the country and eventually themselves. The only reason why some Indian and Chinese are still supporting BN is because they are silly (low education). One of the reasons why BN is still in power today is because of Indian and Chinese voters.

Through corruption and outright embezzlement on an unprecedented scale, the destruction of the Judiciary and democratic institutions and abuse of all arms of government to stay in power, UMNO has diminished Malaysia beyond recognition. Needless to say, economically and comparing standards of good governance, it has fallen behind Singapore, Thailand, Korea and, very soon, Indonesia.
UMNO has made Malaysia a less safe, less viable and less attractive place to live, whether you are Malay or non-Malay. Of course, the non-Malays have more reason to emigrate but don't the Malays (and the non-Malays unable to emigrate which is the majority) also deserve a better country?
Now Najis is talking about introducing a GST. As is evident in countries with a GST (which, incidentally, are expensive countries to live in), the costs of living just shot up inexorably with the introduction of GST and the GST rate creeps up ever so insidiously over the years. The GST is one thing that goes up but never comes down. The hardest hit would be the bulk of the population who are already suffering under a Barang Naik government. Najis' notion of a "high income" country would in reality mean a high cost country!
It looks like the Najis regime has no idea on how to turn the country around or is unwilling to. Foreign investments are at an all time low. The massive corruption already exposed and quickly covered up ran into the billions and this looked the tip of the iceberg with the revelation of the Sarawak misappropriation of government funds coming on the heels of PKFZ and the Auditor General's report on systemic corruption throughout the civil service.
With the coffers ransacked and oil running out, where does Malaysia's salvation lie? I have no idea. If I were a Malay I too would look for a greener pasture. Don't give me this bull about patriotism. How patriotic are the UMNO politicians who squandered the country's riches?

To a supplementary question from Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (PAS-Kuala Selangor), Kohilan said the Science, Technology and Innovations and Human Resources ministries were making efforts to get Malaysians abroad to come home among others through a “brain gain” programme.
Put everything on the table and see if any of them can answer these question and compete:
1) Education for the children - non-Malay has to compete to get into public universities and usually no luck. If they were able too they were given second class courses. Also, chances to get scholarship is basically none. End up have to send them overseas and work two jobs or both parents have to work hard all their lives.
2) Daily expenses such as groceries is not comparable to the pay because it cost too much. Not sure where the subsidies go too but probably someone got all the subsidy but not rakyat. Local grown produce cost as much which no one can explain but blame it on the expensive stuff for the animal and vegetable
3) Safety and security - Why would someone change from a place where you don't have to worry about security. For example, no worries about break in if you parked your car outside the house, walk around in your handbag and jewelry, don't need to put iron grill on all your windows, and police response to your call and assure you they will work on your case. Our PDRM is keen on putting down a peaceful minority law makers which our country call oppositions.
4) Choice of PM is basically flaw because we have an allege criminal for a Perdana Menteri. This will never happen in a civilize country.
There are a long list of items I can think of why I should go home as a non-Malay.

There has to be a 'creative destruction' in the whole system of governance if we want to join the civilised league of democratic nations. This will not be in the interest of the criminal Mafia which is running our country but the Rakyat have to take the bull by the horns.
The Merdeka constitution is no longer tenable and is part of the problem. Any vestige of privilege and supremacy or what might be interpreted as such has to be abrogated.
The colonial invention of the institution of Royalty in Malaysia will also have to be reconsidered as it serves no useful purpose and is an unnecessary and wasteful extravagance. Of late they have ventured into the political sphere and have undermined the democratic process. Their intended role of 'check and balance' has been corrupted into one of an Executive lackey thus negating their raison d'etre.
The Pakatan in its present form is nothing but a sham. It is a marriage of convenience purely for the sake of power. Ideally they should merge and form an opposition party with a unity of purpose and ideology.
The obsession with outward Islamic superficialities and not the substance, which is essentially about Justice, will have to be jettisoned by the Malays who have been 'diperbodohkan' by UMNO, Anwar and PAS.
Only when Malays realise that Secularism is the guardian of Islamic purity and dignity, will there be a commensurate improvement in the moral fabric of Muslim society in Malaysia. Currently Malays are 'terpukau' by Arabism with its Islamic theatrics and choreography, to realise that they are in the moral cesspit.

This is the secret agenda of the BN government ruled by ARNO and they are very sucessful which led to many Malaysians esp the non-Malays moving out of this country. Why I said that ? They introduced certain bias policies which made the non-Malays like 4th or 5th class citizens though they are legitimately 1st class citizen. The rationale is simple. They know in 10 to 15 years time or less, the natural resources of this great country Malaysia will be exhausted and they know that, for this country to survive in this borderless world, she needs foreign currency coming into this country and this is why they expect those Malaysians overseas which some how or what remit the money back to Malaysia as we cant deny, those Malaysians working or residing oversea somehow or what still have relativies back home here and occasionally they will come back home and he/she still need ringgit to use here. Cant you see some non-Malays using cash money to buy property in Malaysia instead of appying loan ?
The hidden policies also played an effective way which one way or the other stimulate the non-Malays to stand on their own foot which make them very independent as they know they cant count on BN government's help. It is also blessing in disguise that whatever they earn oversea is double or triple value than what he/she earn locally here.
If one looks from another angle, the non-Malays should say big Terima kasih to this BN government which introduced bias policies on non-Malays and this indirectly make them more smarter, more independent and become more richer as the money they earned is double or triple than ringgit.
One is not surprised at all, not only non-Malays emigrated but also quite a number of SMART Malays emigrated to oversea which promise them a better future and a better income.
written by imanj, November 30, 2009 19:25:20
Also from which catergory of income groups that choose to leave should also be considerd. There are some who have the resources. If anyone leaves in search of greener pastures, then it's in their own right.
However when those who preach patrotism and yet still leave the country or even send their family members and children to another country, they ought to be shot..!!
By going in search for Malaysians abroad in need of their expertise, would just be a proclaimation of this country's education and workforce being not apt enough. While the opportunities for higher education and opportunities to hold better/bigger positions or even to be employed is not done by merits, instead done by quota, then are you now saying that there is less intellectuals and posses no expertise??
What do you expect when agendas such as these put forward are handled by the less experts and less intellects.
Why go abroad when there are many Malaysians available but side-lined? And instead of destroying the education for young Malaysians, why not start now to improve and make intelligent children for our future.
You can start by implementing schools just for academics, schools just for arts/drama,schools just for sports and the list goes on.A child needs just basic education/history/knowledge and the step towards the career he or she shows interest in..
You can start by being human to do the right thing for any child......!!!!

Here are some high profile examples of "brain drain", though not necessarily a case of migration and renouncing of Malaysian citizenship:
Najib's kids are working in the UK. One is studying in the US.
Kadir Jasin, the mouthpiece of Mahafiraun's NST, has at least one kid who has moved to Europe (Switzerland, if I'm not mistaken).
Rusdi Mustafa, Pasquale of Barking Magpie blog...a Najib toady...has a daughter who migrated to Canada.
Many, many more educated and able Malays are leaving by the droves because they are usually the first victims of UMNO's brand of Islamofascism. When given the opportunity, they will relinquish their Malaysian passport after a stint as PR in these other countries.
At the end, all you will have left are telor ayam Melayus like Muhiyiddin...and the fact that he is DPM speaks volumes for how dumbed down the country has become. The country is imploding. I give Malaysia another 10 years maximum.....before it disintegrates.

This is nothing special but determine to explore outside the country. Malaysia is a Bloody Rich country but the Governing Gormen leaders are all Half Past Six after TDM took over. How do you expect a Medical Doctor who will only want to prosper his ambition during his younger days if he become a Doctor. I don't think he has the hearth to even help a poor family. Perhaps DSAI would one day proof to him that we could help Malaysian succeed in their livelihood.

I am and always will be possesive about being Malaysian,my daughter has generations that began living in this country since the 1860's as how we know through family records, but would never know if it was from even earlier. But I will be one more on a migration list if the Malaysian Government continues to impress upon the non-malays that we are nothing more than immigrants.
As for the need to make efforts to bring home Malaysians from abroad through a 'brain gain' programme, why is it only when Malaysians have left and pursued their education, career and family through the well organised foundations built by another Country's admimistrations and expertise,do the Malaysian Government now think to make them come home.Did you not before send them away by the rule of qouta and the fact that the race/religion is of priority and not by merit does someone deserve an opportunity in anything?????

You can shove the "Brain Gain" program up Jibby's arse!
We are happy working in other countries that did not tax aka, rob its' people.
We are happy to work in other countries that do not understand the meaning of "ketuanan" and are color and race blind.
We are happy working in other countries in which its' leaders do not enriched themselves and their cronies.
We are happy working in other countries in which the leaders took care of the basic amenities for all the people.
So, again. . ., shove that "Brain Gain" program up Jibby's arse!

By the way, my application for an Australian PR is in process and no regret ever since.
The UMNO warlords stay put in Malaysia, but their money are parked overseas.

If each ex-Malaysian takes out RM10K, what would be the annual leakage per year.
So not only are we leaking financial capital but also losing human-skill-knowledge capital.
Since the 1970s, this issue has always been raised in Parliament by uncle lim and his cohort and the reply is ALWAYS dismissive (you tak-suka keluar ....etc).
Now you know why, I am of the firm opinion that Malaysia is heading southwards.
HOWEVER, despite the warnings of experts, the "tipping point[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tipping_Point/url]" was never quite reached. Perhaps oil/Petronas was the prop holding up the diseased body? However with the peak-oil[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil/url] particularly in Malaysia, perhaps some one can study when would be the next "tipping-point".
For context, read idi-amin and the asians in Uganda [url] here[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil/url].

Its simply because of a brighter future for my kids and at least even if i am a second class citizen, i am being treated like a human being and be given equal rights.
In addition, at least the government is being runned by human beings rather than like in malaysia, a bunch of retarded criminals.

More Malaysians fleeing their country than afghans.
Soon, UMNO will acheive their ambitions of having nobody to lord over.
The fabric of our society will be destroyed.'Imagine eating nasi lemak for breakfast every blooming day.
