Selangor govt never instructed PKNS to withdraw Azmin’s dismissal letter

Mohammed Khusrin

(Bernama) – Selangor state secretary Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi said today the state government never instructed the Selangor State Development Corporation to withdraw the dismissal letter, dated Jan 8, sent to Mohamed Azmin Ali as a member of its board of directors.

Mohammed Khusrin disclosed this in a statement commenting on the letter dated Jan 16 sent by PKNS general manager Othman Omar who claimed that the Selangor government had instructed that the alleged letter dismissing Azmin, the Bukit Antarabangsa state assemblyman, be withdrawn and considered nullified.

“I would like to stress that the claim by the PKNS general manager in his letter dated Jan 16 2014 is not true. The Selangor state government never instructed PKNS to withdraw the dismissal letter of the services of YB Tuan Mohamed Azmin Ali dated Jan 8, 2014,” he said.

Mohammed Khusrin said the issue would be discussed at the State Executive Council Meeting tomorrow.

The PKNS management had also been asked to not issue any statement on the matter to avoid further confusion, he said.

Meanwhile, he said internal investigations were being conducted on the PKNS general manager and PKNS executive secretary Norita Mohd Sidek to get to the truth of the matter.

“I call on all concerned not to speculate or spread unfounded rumours on the matter until internal investigations are completed and the state exco makes a decision,” he said.
