It went on to list the reasons behind the call for Waytha Moorthy to be relieved off his positions, among them a claim that he had tarnished Malaysia’s image by slandering that Hindus in Malaysia were discriminated against and that they had to convert to Islam if they wanted to work in the public sector.

The petition also claimed the minister alleged that Hindu temples were demolished without reason by the authorities in Malaysia.

“He also insists in wanting the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) ratified in his capacity as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department despite objection from the Bumiputeras,” the petition said.

As a solution, GPS proposed that he be sacked in a bid to ensure the harmony and unity in Malaysia are maintained.
