Malays want to be Muslim first and Malaysian last
These so-called modern or liberal Malays are fakes. They will still hold dear the ‘Islamic traditions’. Even those ‘modern’ or ‘liberal’ Malays from PKR, PPBM and PAN would have a heart attack if their son announces he is marrying his Indian boyfriend and is going to convert to Hinduism.

If Tajuddin really knows the Malays, then he would know the answer to that question. Malays want to be Muslim first, Malay second, and Malaysian third. In Kelantan, they want to be Muslim first, Kelantanese second, Malay third, and Malaysian fourth.
The same goes for those from Sabah and Sarawak. They are Sabahans and Sarawakians first; Dayaks, Kadazans or whatever second; Muslims, Christians, etc., third; and Malaysians last.

Tajuddin is living in denial if he thinks the Malays and Chinese can look beyond skin colour. If so, why not field a Chinese to contest in, say, Pasir Mas, and a Malay to contest in, say, Bagan? Since Pasir Mas is a Malay seat you have no choice but to field a Malay there. And the same goes for Bagan — you have to field a Chinese there since that seat is a Chinese seat.
The day a Malay can win Bagan and a Chinese can win Pasir Mas then come back and talk about whether you want to be Malaysian first and Malay (or Chinese) second. Till then dream on.
Malays regard themselves as Ummah Islam, the Muslim community. They do not call themselves Ummah Melayu. They call each other saudara Islam, not saudara Melayu. Of course, there are some Malays-Muslims who want gay marriages legalised and for Malays to be allowed to leave Islam to become Christians and so on. But those Malays-Muslims are in the minority.
How many Malay fathers will allow their daughter to marry a Hindu boy-man without requiring him to convert to Islam first?
Anyway, these so-called liberal Malays are fakes. Ask them whether they would allow their daughters to marry a Hindu without that man or boy having to convert to Islam. Out of 1,000 Malays see how many would consent to their daughter marrying a Hindu and for their grandchildren to be raised as Hindus and not Muslims.
Would these ‘modern’ Malays agree to be cremated when they die? That is forbidden by Islam but cremation is more ‘modern’ than the ‘old fashioned’ burial in the ground, which comes from the Old Testament. No Malay would agree to cremation over burial.

Anyway, go ask a Scot, Welsh or Irish whether they are Brits first or Scot, Welsh or Irish first and Brit second. Ask a Kurd whether he or she is Kurd first or Iraqi first and Kurd second. Ask a Palestinian whether he or she is Israeli first or Palestinian first, Arab second and Israeli third.
Now ask a Malay whether he or she is Muslim first and Malay second or Malaysian first and Malay second. And do not pretend that Malays are Malaysians first, Malays second and Muslims third.

Is that so? Try disputing the holocaust and write that it was impossible for the Nazis to have killed six million Jews and see what happens to you. You would have offended and hurt the feelings of the Jews and in certain countries you would get arrested and jailed.
Some Christians say Islam is actually a religion inspired by the devil and that Muhammad was delusional and suffering from some sort of mental problems when he hallucinated he was talking to Gabriel and then flew up to heaven to meet God (to receive the command to pray five times a day).
Are you saying it is okay to print that story in Malaysia and Muslims have no business getting offended since under freedom of speech you are allowed to say anything even if it hurts someone’s feelings?
Today, Member of Parliament Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said Malaysia is a Malay land (it used to be called Persekutuan Tanah Melayu before it was called Malaysia). So why were the feelings of the DAP Chinese hurt and why were they barking and foaming at the mouth in Parliament?
