The new Altantuya murder investigation

The French Police also recorded P.I. Bala’s statement in Paris. However, the French Police excluded P.I. Bala’s statement in the final report because they considered his statement unreliable and inconsistent. In short, the French Police regarded P.I. Bala’s statement as false. And yet P.I. Bala’s version of events is the one that most Malaysians believe even though the French Police rejected his story.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Bernama reported, “Mongolian national Dr Shaariibuu Setev has lodged a police report here seeking a fresh probe into the murder of his daughter Altantuya Shaariibuu, who was killed in Malaysia 12 years ago.” (READ HERE)

TMI reported, “The reopening of the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case will be expedited by the Attorney-General’s Chambers after new leads were presented today, said lawyer Ramkarpal Singh.” (READ HERE)

So, it appears that a new investigation into Altantuya’s murder is inevitable. And they hope with the new evidence the AG has obtained, which was hidden from the 2006 investigation, the truth will now be revealed.

The new Special Branch Director, Hamid Bador, can confirm that the Special Branch had already cleared Najib and Rosmah of any involvement in Altantuya’s murder

The 2006 murder investigation hinged on one very important fact: which is Altantuya was the translator in the Scorpene submarine deal, and she had demanded a commission of RM2 million for doing the translation work, and to avoid paying her this commission Deputy Prime Minister cum Defence Minister Najib Tun Razak had her murdered.

At least that was what private investigator P. Balasubramaniam (P.I. Bala) told the whole world.

In 2012, Cynthia Gabriel of Suaram lodged a complaint with a French judge, who then ordered the French Police to investigate this complaint (READ MORE HERE: Altantuya’s father must be allowed justice).

Daim was the Finance Minister and Mahathir the Prime Minister when they started negotiating the submarine deal

The French police investigated the matter and concluded that Altantuya was not a translator, she did not speak French, she spoke broken English, and no one in France had ever met her. More importantly, the Scorpene submarine deal was negotiated when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was the Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi the Deputy Prime Minister, Tun Daim Zainuddin the Finance Minister, and Syed Hamid Albar the Defence Minister.

Najib was the Education Minister and was not involved in negotiating the submarine deal.

Syed Hamid was the Defence Minister then

The two police officers convicted of Altantuya’s murder were first Mahathir’s bodyguards and then Abdullah Badawi’s bodyguards. They were not Najib’s bodyguards, as widely reported, just like Altantuya was not the translator for the submarine negotiations, as widely reported.

The French Police rejected P.I. Bala’s statement as inconsistent and unreliable

Even more important, the Malaysian Special Branch has independently investigated this matter and the previous Special Branch Director confirmed that Najib was not involved in Altantuya’s murder and neither was his wife, Rosmah Mansor. The Special Branch agrees with the French Police investigation report.

Actually, back in 2006, and again in 2012, the Malaysian Special Branch had already investigated this matter. The current Special Branch Director, Abdul Hamid Bador, would be able to confirm this. However, since Hamid Bador has openly declared that he supports Mahathir and is opposed to Najib, he would not want to help clear Najib although he knows the truth.
