Isham’s sacking a lesson for all Umno leaders, says Jeram assemblyman
Isham Jalil’s sacking as an Umno supreme council member should send a message to other party leaders that the party will not tolerate attempts by anyone to divide it, says Datuk Mohd Zaidy Abdul Kadir.
(MSN News) – The Jeram assemblyman also said that it was a wise move to sack Isham as no individual is more important than Umno itself as a party.
“The sacking of Isham will also show that Umno will not compromise with any individuals trying to split the party and also undermine harmony among members,” Mohd Zaidy said in a statement on Facebook on Thursday (Dec 7).
Mohd Zaidy also said that Isham’s sacking is a lesson to other leaders, even regular members, that they must always be disciplined on party affairs.
“Therefore, as a grassroots leader, I would like to thank the party’s leadership, especially party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, for carrying out the party’s disciplinary duties by sacking.
“For others in the party, please remain loyal to the party’s aspirations. Believe in our struggles and do your best so that Umno will be the choice of Malays,” said Mohd Zaidy.
“I’m confident that if we prioritise our struggles, Umno will remain as the choice of Malays and Malaysians as a whole,” added Mohd Zaidy.
