Lokman Nor Adam, RPK trade barbs over Hisham’s return to UMNO’s top post in view of Zahid’s health condition

In his rebuttal, RPK took a swipe a Lokman whom he described as the “J-KOM (Community Communications Department) director-general in waiting” as UMNO has never toed the party’s constitution by revoking Lokman’s previous suspension or by suspending Hishammuddin and few other party leaders in recent times.

(Focus Malaysia) – UMNO communications director Datuk Lokman Noor Adam has rubbished a recent social media posting by fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (RPK) which claimed that party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi “will vacate his post due to poor health condition” and that suspended former vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein will be made acting president.

The UMNO supreme council member explained that Zahid who is also the Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman “is currently resting at home after having undergone a surgery recently and shall return to work as usual any time”.

“The question of him resigning as UMNO President has never cropped up. Try to use common sense, you already know that RPK is a fraudster, why is it so easy to be influenced by his posts?” penned Lokman in a brief Facebook posting.

“In a political organisation, when the president resigns, the deputy will take over; if the deputy steps down, the vice-president will act in his capacity and subsequently the supreme council members and so on.

“Even if all ranks of the supreme council members disappear, Hishammuddin will not be able to become acting president because his membership has already been suspended for six years.”

“The person who suspended or fired them for UMNO is the party’s president … and their so-called crime is because they opposed the president … there wasn’t even any probe by the party’s disciplinary board or any inquiry initiated for the matter in accordance with the party’s constitution,” argued RPK in a video clip from his residence in Manchester, UK.

The mercenary blogger with a Perikatan Nasional (PN) slant further stressed that what is of bigger concern at the moment should be Zahid’s poor health condition.

“Given the uncertainties, it’s best for Zahid to sort out UMNO’s leadership succession planning first,” he asserted. “Obviously, if according to party constitution and tradition, the president candidate should be Tok Mat (deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hassan) but Zahid doesn’t want Tok Mat … if this is the case, then who will take over?

Added RPK: “By right, it shouldn’t be Zahid who determines the succession planning (top five) but UMNO members themselves.”
