Zahid Hamidi and Hadi Awang quarrel in public like Amber Heard and Johnny Depp

(KTemoc) – Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has claimed that PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang was against holding an early general election out of fear the party may lose more seats.

The former deputy prime minister said that PAS, which currently holds 18 seats in the Dewan Rakyat, may be worried about losing more seats if the 15th general election is expedited.

“Perhaps if the general election (is held) soon, he is afraid the party will have less than 18 of their existing seats,” he was quoted as saying by Berita Harian.

Zahid said this when met by reporters during an event at Umno headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

Yesterday, Hadi said that those seeking to expedite the general election are “power crazy” and not those who want to focus on other areas of government first.

He reiterated that other matters are more important, such as the threat posed by Covid-19.

“Usually those who want to speed things up are power crazy. Those who are patient are not… (PAS) thinks long term,” he had said.

The Marang MP added that the state polls that had happened in recent years were caused by Umno machinations.

“We participated (in those elections) because we were forced to,” he said in response to Johor Umno deputy chief Nur Jazlan Mohamed who accused PAS of being “power crazy”.
