Zuraida hasn’t applied to be PBM member, says party veep
Steven Choong says her announcement came as surprise, will hold political bureau meeting to consider bid once received
(The Vibes) – Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin may have announced her decision to quit Bersatu for Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM), but the fledgling party today revealed that it has yet to receive a membership application from her.
PBM senior vice-president I Steven Choong disclosed this to The Vibes just moments after Zuraida made her announcement via a statement today.
Choong, who is Tebrau MP, said the matter was confirmed by party secretary-general Nor Hizwan Ahmad, when asked on the role Zuraida will be playing in PBM.
“We can only consider her role when we receive her application to be a member. Everyone has to go through the same process.”
