The Umno-Perikatan divorce: is it talak satu or talak tiga?
Anyway, the bottom line is, if the Umno-Perikatan Nasional divorce is talak tiga, then the Chinese voters will decide the outcome of the Melaka state election. And I honestly have no problems with this. It is time the Melaka Malays be taught a lesson. Let the faces of the Melaka Malays be rubbed into the dirt.

The Umno, Bersatu and PAS politicians should stop all these mind games. Stop playing acah or sabre-rattling. Just tell us whether the Umno-Perikatan Nasional divorce is final or talak tiga, as Umno President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says, or whether it is only talak satu and the divorce still can be u-turned, as some Umno leaders are saying.
If Umno really has the numbers and is confident of winning more than 14 seats on its own in the Melaka state election on 20th November 2001, then go for it.
In fact, PAS has proposed the 14-6-8 formula (Umno contest 14 seats, PAS six seats and Bersatu eight seats).

In the previous general election, PAS contested 24 seats and won zero. So maybe six seats are too much to expect if on a three-corner contest. Maybe PAS can win two or three seats if based on an electoral pact with Umno and Bersatu. If not, expect zero for PAS.
In the previous general election, Barisan Nasional won only 13 seats while Pakatan Harapan won 15, eight of them by DAP.
Anyway, the bottom line is, if the Umno-Perikatan Nasional divorce is talak tiga, then the Chinese voters will decide the outcome of the Melaka state election. And I honestly have no problems with this. It is time the Melaka Malays be taught a lesson. Let the faces of the Melaka Malays be rubbed into the dirt.
In 1511, the Malays lost Melaka to the Portuguese, then to the Dutch, then to the British, then to the Japanese, and then to the British again.
And do you know the Melaka or Straits Chinese were the first who went to London to negotiate independence or Merdeka from Britain? Yes, it was not the Melaka Malays who first went to London to negotiate Merdeka. It was the Melaka or Straits Chinese who did. The Malays went to London later.
And because the Malays were second and not first, the British made Merdeka conditional — that a formula to grant citizenship to the non-Malay immigrants must be part of the terms of Merdeka.
So the Malays have always been losers. And on 20th November 2021, the Malays will continue to be losers (nasib baik aku lahir di London dan bukan di Melaka Darul Loser). Sigh…I only hope Manchester United will also not continue to be losers in their game with Liverpool at 11.30pm Malaysian time tonight.

Dalam akhbar The Sunday Star hari ini mengulas berkenaan PRN Melaka seorang
penganalisa politik Khaw Veon Szu menganggap perpaduan Melayu akan menjadi satu “elusive dream” atau impian yang sukar tercapai kerana pertembungan PAS, Umno dan Bersatu sudah hampir pasti dalam pilihan raya ini.
Sedangkan beliau menjangka 80% pengundi Cina akan kekal mengundi DAP dan PH.
Tambah beliau pasti pimpinan PH terhibur apabila PN mengumumkan akan bertanding dikesemua 28 DUN lantas mengundang pertandingan 3 atau lebih penjuru di Melaka. Bermakna mengulangi bencana PRU 14 dan yang bakal naik berkuasa adalah PH.
Kemanakah menghilangnya juara perpaduan ummah yang berdiri megah satu ketika dahulu?
Kita boleh terus memilih jalan sendiri kerana menyangka masing-masing sudah gagah perkasa sedangkan kita tidak sedar kita sesungguhnya membelakangkan tuntutan agar berpegang teguh pada “Tali Allah” dan tidak bercerai-berai.
Melaka masih boleh diselamatkan. Peluangnya terletak di kepala bahu tiap-tiap pimpinan Melayu Islam. Jangan menang sorak kampung tergadai.
Kembalilah pada kunci perpaduan ummah iaitu Islam.
