It’s game over for Anwar Ibrahim and Zahid Hamidi
It is now more or less game over for Anwar Ibrahim and Zahid Hamidi. The plan for Umno to collaborate with Pakatan Harapan to oust Muhyiddin Yassin and the Perikatan Nasional government so that a new Umno-Pakatan government with Anwar as the prime minister can take over is dead in the water. Hence begins a new chapter in Malaysian politics.

After one month of posturing and denials, finally the cat is out of the bag. The recorded conversation between Umno President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim is authentic after all. And now a police report has been lodged against Zahid for lying to Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
In fact, you do not even need Zahid to confess that the recording is authentic to know that it is authentic. Every night, Lokman Noor Adam has been doing live broadcasts on Facebook revealing that a conspiracy to bring down the government is real and does exist. There are no secrets about the existence of this coup being planned by a handful of Umno people who are facing criminal charges (a.k.a. “Kluster Mahkamah”) and Pakatan Harapan.
Today, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin checkmated his adversaries by appointing Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the Deputy Prime Minister and Hishammuddin Tun Hussein as a Senior Minister. In one swoop, Muhyiddin killed the allegation that PPBM is bullying Umno by not appointing an Umno leader as the DPM.

Seorang ahli Majlis Tertinggi Umno menggesa Ahmad Zahid Hamidi meletakkan jawatan sebagai presiden bagi memastikan parti itu tidak kalah pada Pilihan Raya Umum ke-15 (PRU15), lapor Utusan Malaysia.
Ahli Majlis Tertinggi Umno Zahidi Zainul Abidin berkata, disebabkan Zahid berdepan dengan pelbagai pertuduhan rasuah, sukar bagi parti itu untuk mendapatkan sokongan rakyat pada PRU15.
“Kalau dia (Zahid) gentleman, punyai semangat, berjiwa besar, maka letaklah jawatan. Ini adalah lebih baik untuk Umno,” kata Zahidi yang juga timbalan menteri komunikasi dan multimedia kepada Utusan Malaysia.

A police report has been made against Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi over the possibility that he had misled the Yang di-Pertuan Agong during a recent audience at Istana Negara.
According to Utusan Malaysia, the Umno member who lodged the report also mentioned Zahid’s admission that it had been his voice in a recording of a phone conversation that exposed his cooperation with PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim. (READ MORE HERE)
