Kadir Jasin, jangan cakap banyak, jawab ini!

If we were to conclude that Kadir Jasin was in fact a proxy shareholder not to UMNO, but to Tun Dr Mahathir himself, just imagine the wealth that he managed to strip off from the rakyat when MRCB divested from many of its holdings and assets. One must wonder the level of wrath the rakyat would have had if social media were to exist back then and if the public knew about all this. And this is the same Kadir Jasin who constantly talks about kleptocracy. (Tamrin Ghafar)

(MMO, 21 Feb 2018) – Datuk A. Kadir Jasin and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad must explain how they could afford to purchase shares in Realmild Sdn Bhd back in 2000, a former Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) leader said.

In a Facebook post, Ex-PPPM member Anina Saadudin pointed out that it would have cost Kadir and Dr Mahathir billions of ringgit to be able to purchase 30 and 70 per cent of Realmild’s shares.

Realmild is a private entity which once controlled stakes in New Straits Times Bhd and TV3.

On February 10, Anina posted a video on Facebook to raise this issue and laid out three questions for Kadir to respond to.

She asked in the video: “How did you get the money to purchase the 30 per cent of shares? What happened to the billions in profit after selling off your shares? Is it true that Dr Mahathir owned 70 per cent of the shares through a trust deed held by a law firm?”

Anina went on to say that the purchase showed that the duo had a huge amount of money in their personal accounts, possibly on behalf of Umno back then.

If this was the case, she said they had no right to criticise Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for allegedly having a large sum of money in his personal account.

After the first posting on February 10, yesterday was the third time Anina went on Facebook to publicly seek clarification from Kadir.

She added her questions are also reinforced by a statement made by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in an Umno Supreme Council session on September 9, 2015 where he admitted a special presidential fund exists in the party.

Anina said the video of him admitting to it had gone viral on social media for the past three years but Muhyiddin had never confirmed nor denied it.

“If the special presidential fund does exist, then what was the point behind my civil suit against Najib on August 28, 2015?

“I would like to stress that 12 days after I filed for the civil suit, Muhyiddin came out with the confession,” she said referring to her 2015 civil suit against Najib over the political fund which was struck out by the High Court.

“Does it mean that issues regarding the political donations in Najib’s personal account that were publicised were an attempt at toppling the Umno president?” she further questioned.

Anina said she hoped her questions would be answered with clarity and honesty soon.

On September 16 last year, Anina quit PPBM, saying that that its leaders could not take criticisms.
