What if Nik Aziz and Karpal Singh were still alive?

Maybe once Anwar becomes the prime minister he can close down all religious schools and ban religious classes in national schools that turn Malays into religious fanatics. Anwar should introduce pluralism and get schools to teach people that all religions are good and are equal and no religion is special or better than others.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

DAP and its leaders keep repeating the mantra that if PAS leader Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat were still alive, things would be different.

PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang is an extremist and a fanatic, says DAP. Nik Aziz was a moderate. Hence Nik Aziz is a better PAS leader than Hadi, argues DAP.

I suppose we can say the same thing about Karpal Singh. If Karpal were still alive today, things would be different. Karpal is a principled person. The rest of the DAP leaders have absolutely no principles.

Karpal would never agree to a deal with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and he would never agree to Mahathir becoming Pakatan Harapan’s Prime Minister. Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng lack the principles that Karpal had. And that is the reason why DAP is headed for destruction.

If Karpal Singh were still alive this would never happen

In fact, Karpal had once condemned Kit Siang, Guan Eng and Anwar Ibrahim. He even asked Anwar to taubat (repent) — in reference to Anwar’s gay lifestyle and numerous sodomy cases (said to be at least 15 cases to date).

One Australian once told me that those in Australia’s corridors of power refer to Anwar as an “arse bandit”. Actually, Anwar’s reputation overseas is not as noble as most Malaysians think. Hence the reason why Karpal asked Anwar to taubat.

Anwar said religious fanaticism will divide the country (SEE NEWS BELOW). What precisely does Anwar mean by religious fanaticism? Can he explain?

Anwar, of course, was referring to Pasir Puteh MP Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh who said even the Bible (not just the Qur’an) bans drinking. The Christians were outraged and said even Jesus drank (he turned water into wine). Hence Zawawi lied when he said the (original) Bible, too, bans drinking.

Nik Muhammad Zawawi was just stating Islam’s “official position” on the Bible. If he was wrong then arrest him

Okay, let’s not turn this discussion into a theological debate. We have had enough of that in the last couple of articles. Let’s focus on Anwar’s statement about “religious fanaticism”.

It is the ustaz, mufti, and religious leaders/scholars who tell us that only the Qur’an is the true word of God and that all other so-called “Holy Books” are not.

If that is considered “religious fanaticism” then can Anwar issue an official statement on his PKR letterhead telling all the ustaz, mufti, religious leaders, religious scholars, etc., to STOP teaching five-, six- or seven-year-old children that only the Qur’an is the true word of God and that all other so-called “Holy Books” are not?

I mean, when 70-year-old men like me have been taught over the last 65 years that only the Qur’an is the true word of God and that all other so-called “Holy Books” are not, what do you expect?

Why is this Minister of Religious Affairs hiding? Takut hilang jawatan ke?

We thought we could trust the word of these ustaz, mufti, religious leaders, religious scholars, and so on. Only now do we realise that these ustaz, mufti, religious leaders, religious scholars, and so-called religious experts, are actually religious fanatics, according to Anwar.

I have always been suspicious of these so-called religious experts. And now Anwar has confirmed that they are actually religious fanatics for teaching us that only the Qur’an is the true word of God and that all other so-called “Holy Books” are not.

Maybe once Anwar becomes the prime minister he can close down all religious schools and ban religious classes in national schools that turn Malays into religious fanatics. Anwar should introduce pluralism and get schools to teach people that all religions are good and are equal and no religion is special or better than others.

Religious fanaticism will divide the country, says Anwar

(FMT) – Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim says there is no excuse for religious fanaticism as such ideology will be disruptive to unity.

This comes after Pasir Puteh MP Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh of PAS made comments on the Christian holy book.

Anwar described remarks by Zawawi as unwise, insensitive and reflecting a low understanding of Islamic ethics when debating with followers of other religions. (READ MORE HERE)
