“Penyatuan UMNO dan Pas yang membentuk satu perikatan hari ini tidak hanya akan menulis semula peta politik Malaysia, tetapi akan membahagikan lagi struktur sosial Malaysia yang pluralistik,” said Gerakan President Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.
Dominic Lau added, “Pada PRU lalu, PH hanya mendapat 25 peratus hingga 30 peratus daripada sokongan orang Melayu dan sejak PH berkuasa, mereka berusaha untuk mengembalikan kepercayaan orang Melayu dengan mengekalkan matrikulasi serta meningkatkan pengambilan pelajar ke insititusi pendidikan itu.”
“Gerakan sentiasa menekankan kepelbagaian dan percaya bahawa politik pluralistik adalah masa depan negara dan berharap akan mendapat sokongan rakyat secara bersama khususnya dalam mempertahankan sistem politik majmuk di negara ini.”
What in heaven’s name is Dominic Lau smoking? Whatever it is it is making him hallucinate and lose his mind. I have heard many ridiculous things in my life but what Dominic Lau said takes first prize.
Dominic Lau says the Umno-PAS unity move would turn Malaysia into a racist country. He also says that 25-30% of the Malays voted for Pakatan Harapan. If 25-30% of the Malays voted for Pakatan Harapan, as Dominic Lau says, that means 70-75% of the Malays voted for Umno and PAS.
But then DAP proudly shouts and screams that 95-97% of the Chinese voted for Pakatan Harapan. If 95-97% of the Chinese voted for Pakatan Harapan but only 70-75% of the Malays voted for Umno and PAS, who are the racists here? Dominic Lau says that by combining Umno’s and PAS’s 70-75% support that makes the Malays racist but if 95-97% of the Chinese vote for Pakatan Harapan that does not make them racists.
Logic apa benda ni? Dominic Lau should just close down Gerakan and all its members go join DAP. Or Maybe DAP and Gerakan can do their own Penyatuan Ummah Cina.
But then would DAP even want Gerakan? DAP sapu 95-97% of the Chinese votes while the balance went to MCA. How many Chinese votes did Gerakan win? Almost nothing. In fact, the votes that Gerakan won were not Chinese votes. And Gerakan did not win a single seat.
Gerakan is what the Malays would say hidup segan mati tak mahu. Dominic Lau should focus on his own party instead of talking about Umno and PAS. At least Umno and PAS won 100% of the 99 state and parliament seats in Terengganu and Kelantan. And Umno will soon be joining the Kelantan and Terengganu state governments.
What is Dominic Lau’s mission and vision for Gerakan? Does he have any? Or is his mission merely to whack Umno, PAS, the Malays and Islam, hoping that the Chinese will throw Gerakan a few votes just so that the party has an excuse for not closing down?
