Investigation papers on gay sex tape handed over to AG, says Bukit Aman

(FMT) – Bukit Aman today confirmed that the investigation papers on the gay sex video implicating a federal minister have been handed over to the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) for further action.

In a statement, Federal Criminal Investigation Department director Huzir Mohamed also confirmed receipt of the forensic report by a UK-based firm on the sex tape from Umno Supreme Council member Lokman Noor Adam.

He said the report had been passed to national cybersecurity agency Cybersecurity Malaysia.

“Lokman will be called again tomorrow to have his statement recorded,” he added.

The video in question went viral after Haziq Aziz, the former head of Santubong PKR Youth, admitted to being one of two men seen in the clip engaging in sex acts.

He named Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali as the other individual, a claim which Azmin has strongly denied.

Huzir also said that the probe into Indian preacher Dr Zakir Naik’s remarks on the local Chinese and Indian communities is complete. He said the report is awaiting a decision and further instructions from the AGC.

As for Naik’s report against five individuals accusing them of inciting hatred against him, he said the police are calling witnesses to have their statements recorded.

On Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s remarks on Chinese educationist group Dong Zong which the prime minister had called a racist organisation, Huzir said the case is being investigated under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace.

On remarks by Umno Youth executive council member Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris on the recent road rage incident which resulted in the death of Syed Muhammad Danial Syed Syakir, he said the case would be probed under Section 505 (c) of the Penal Code for making statements conducive to public mischief and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for misuse of network services.

He said police have called Wan Muhammad for his statement and are awaiting a digital forensic report before handing the papers to prosecutors.

On tycoon Koon Yew Yin’s comments on the military, he said police are awaiting a profiling report from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

The case is also being investigated under Section 505 (c) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
