PKR disciplinary board: No action taken against Farhash and Amiruddin


PKR’s disciplinary board has decided not to take any action against Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak and Selangor Mentri Besar Amiruddin Shari over the controversial statements made by them on the sex video issue.

(The Star) – According to PKR disciplinary board chief Datuk Ahmad Kassim, the party’s political bureau was satisfied over the explanation given by the duo in response to a show-cause letter issued to them last month.

“In general, the political bureau accepts their explanation, ” said Ahmad to reporters during a press conference.

“Amiruddin showed a good attitude by respecting the leadership and he does not wish to prolong this issue and wants to leave this to the top leadership.

Ahmad was speaking to reporters after the political bureau meeting at PKR’s headquarters on Wednesday (Aug 21).

PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, was however, not present.

Asked if action will be taken against the duo for issuing controversial statements again in future, Ahmad merely said “we will cross the bridge when we get there”.

Farhash, who’s Anwar’s political secretary, verbally attacked Azmin after he and several others was detained by the police in connection with the circulation of the sex video, which implicated the Economic Affairs Minister and Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz.

On the other hand, Amiruddin, who’s also the Selangor PKR chief, was being subjected to the party disciplinary board over a controversial remark made during a special thanksgiving prayer last month.
