BN names Najib as top adviser
(FMT) – Najib Razak has been appointed as the top adviser for Barisan Nasional, the former ruling coalition said after a meeting between party chiefs tonight.
BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Mansor said Najib would chair the coalition’s advisory board.
“He will help BN in our efforts to regain the people’s support,” he said in a statement issued at the end of the BN Supreme Council meeting at the Putra World Trade Centre.
Najib, the former prime minister, served as the BN chairman before he resigned in the aftermath of the 2018 elections.
