MACC’s warning to the Anwarists

The MACC then goes for the 41 names but holds back on the other 360 names. The 360 others on the list will then have to hold their breath and not do anything silly — such as support Anwar Ibrahim if he makes his move against Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad via a vote of no confidence in parliament.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

This was what The Star reported today:

The civil forfeiture filed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against 41 individuals and entities to recover RM270 million from 1MDB is just the tip of the iceberg, says Lim Guan Eng.

The Finance Minister said he believed there were far more than 41 individuals and entities that had received monies from 1MDB. However, he said he wasn’t sure if the MACC would be drawing up a new list. (READ MORE HERE)

These 41 names are just 10% of the 400 names on MACC’s list of people/organisations who allegedly received money from 1MDB, said Guan Eng

Who’s the head of the MACC? Lim Guan Eng or Latheefa Koya? And does the MACC come under the Minister of Finance? If not then why is Guan Eng speaking on behalf of the MACC?

Actually, Guan Eng is spilling the beans to inform us that a certain blackmail is going on.

Now please note these points.

The forfeiture list is more than just 41 names. The 41 names are just “the tip of the iceberg”.

The amount of “stolen money” MACC may be recovering is more than just RM270 million.

Guan Eng is warning the Anwarists that the 41 names on the civil forfeiture list is just the tip of the iceberg

Guan Eng is not sure if the MACC will be coming out with a new list (meaning a list with more than 41 names).

Okay, what does “tip of the iceberg” mean? The tip of the iceberg is defined as “the first hint or revelation of something larger or more complex”.

Now, normally only 10% of an iceberg, the tip, is visible above water. The balance 90% would be invisible or hidden underwater. That means, if the 41 names that the MACC revealed is only the tip of the iceberg, logically speaking, the list must be about 400 names. If not, then the 41 names would not be called “the tip of the iceberg”.

So, Guan Eng admits that the MACC list is actually about 400 names and not just 41 names. But he cannot confirm whether the MACC will come out with another or new list of 400 names or whether the MACC will stop at just those 41 names.

The MACC is holding back many names to put the fear of God into them in case Anwar makes his move on Mahathir and they decide to back Anwar

Actually, this is how it works. MACC comes out with a list of 41 names and “hides” about 360 names. Those 360 names are people or organisations within or aligned to Umno — and even Warisan and Pakatan Harapan people or organisations (basically Umno people who defected to Warisan and Pakatan Harapan).

Clever or not? Itulah, jangan main dengan orang tua tu. Vote of no confidence konon. Cuba try tengok. Nanti senarai SPRM baru akan keluar dengan tambahan nama.
