Sue me, Haziq dares Azmin over gay sex video

(FMT) – Haziq Aziz, the man at the centre of the gay sex video controversy, has challenged Mohamed Azmin Ali to lodge a police report against him and haul him to court, if the economic affairs minister is adamant about his innocence.

The PKR Santubong Youth chief recently shocked the nation when he admitted that he was one of two men filmed engaging in homosexual acts at a hotel in Sandakan, Sabah, last month.

The former private secretary of Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin also named Azmin as the other person in the video.

Azmin has strongly denied the claim, calling it a nefarious plot to destroy his career, and threatened to take legal action.

Today, Sunday Star reported Haziq’s dare to the PKR deputy president.

“Let’s have the entire evidence and details in the open,” he told the English daily, noting that police had recorded a statement from Azmin, while his political secretary, Muhammad Hilman Idham, had made a police report.

Haziq, who is being probed for several offences including carnal intercourse against the order of nature and distributing obscene material, reiterated that he was not a liar.

He said he wanted the matter brought to court so Malaysians “can see for themselves the evidence”.

“Malaysians would then be able to see who’s telling the truth.”

The lawyer went on to say that Azmin had made wrongful accusations against him and that he was a victim of the situation.

“If I am defaming him, he has all the right to sue me in a court of law,” report quoted him as saying, adding that he never said anything bad about Azmin.
