Anwar, stop trying to convince us

Raja Sara Petra

Anwar Ibrahim is really going overboard in trying to convince us that he is poised to take over as Malaysia’s next prime minister. He keeps announcing he is in discussions with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad regarding the details of his take over and what Mahathir’s role will be once the take over has been completed and so on.

Why talk so much about what is in the pipeline or what is being done behind the scenes? That is like counting your chickens before they hatch. Just take over first and show Malaysia what you can do. No need to talk so much now because when you were in the Cabinet, from 1982 to 1998, you really did not do anything impressive that you can be remembered for.

Anwar seems preoccupied with only two things. One is about attacking PAS. The other is about taking over as prime minister. Other than that Anwar has nothing to tell us. Anwar wants PAS to stand behind him but then even the ex-PAS people in Amanah condemn him behind his back. Why not get Mat Sabu to openly state he thinks Anwar is innocent of sodomy first before asking PAS to do the same?
