Kit Siang loves Nik Aziz and hates Hadi Awang

Kit Siang appears lost. He condemns the RUU355 and praises Nik Aziz whereas Nik Aziz mooted the RUU355. He praises Fadzil Noor and condemns Hadi Awang for being an extremist whereas DAP left Barisan Alternatif when Fadzil Noor and not Hadi Awang was the President of PAS. And now DAP is in bed with Amanah, the same people who supported RUU355 when it was first passed by the Kelantan State Assembly in 1993.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Lim Kit Siang, for whatever reason only known to himself, keeps repeating the message, over and over again, that he loves Nik Aziz Nik Mat and hates Abdul Hadi Awang. He also keeps repeating that the PAS of Hadi Awang is not the same as the PAS of days gone by.

Why is Kit Siang so obsessed with PAS and keeps talking about whether the PAS of today is still the same as the PAS of yesterday? Does Hadi Awang talk about whether the DAP of today is worse and more arrogant, more anti-Malay, and more Islamophobic than the DAP of yesterday?

As far as most people are concerned, DAP will always be arrogant, anti-Malay, and Islamophobic whether it is the DAP of today or the DAP of yesterday. So why does Kit Siang care whether the PAS of today is better or worse than the PAS of yesterday?

Kit Siang seems to have lost it and keeps making illogical statements

Somehow Kit Siang has this deep hatred for Hadi Awang. Kit Siang cannot sit still and cannot sleep well as long as Hadi Awang is still alive or is still the President of PAS. The only time when Kit Siang will have peace of mind will be when Hadi Awang dies and is buried in the ground. Until that time Kit Siang will continue to be a very troubled person.

Kit Siang says PAS was a good party before Hadi Awang took over as its President. After that, PAS became an extremist party. And the ‘ruin’ of PAS is all because of Hadi Awang, argues Kit Siang.

Actually, Kit Siang is talking nonsense. Hadi Awang took over as the PAS President in July 2002 when Fadzil Muhammad Noor died. But then, in 2001, DAP resigned from the opposition coalition, Barisan Alternatif. So, DAP resigned from Barisan Alternatif when Fadzil Noor and not Hadi Awang was the PAS President.

Kit Siang loves Nik Aziz but hates the RUU355 that was mooted by Nik Aziz in 1993

Get that? DAP left the opposition coalition in 2001 while Hadi Awang became the party president only in July 2002. That means Kit Siang disagreed with PAS BEFORE Hadi Awang became the party president and not because Hadi Awang was the party president, as Kit Siang is leading us to believe.

Let me repeat that, when DAP left the opposition coalition in 2001, Hadi Awang was NOT the party president. So why blame Hadi Awang and accuse him of being an extremist and so on?

Okay, in 1993, the Kelantan State Government of Nik Aziz Nik Mat passed the Shariah Amendment Bill in the Kelantan State Assembly. Mohd Zaid Ibrahim, one-time adviser to Kit Siang, then took the Kelantan Government to court and blocked the Bill. The Bill needed Parliament approval and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s government did not allow it to be tabled in Parliament.

Six years later, in 1999, with the Shariah Amendment Bill (a.k.a. RUU355) still pending, DAP joined PAS in Barisan Alternatif. In spite of the RUU355, DAP agreed to go to bed with PAS. In 1999, the RUU355 was not an issue to DAP or to Kit Siang.

Kit Siang hates Hadi Awang who he calls an extremist for being a pious Muslim

Now, in 1999, the RUU355 was still pending and yet DAP agreed to form a coalition with PAS. Why? Was DAP not against the RUU355? And PAS refused to drop the RUU355. So why go to bed with PAS?

Sixteen years later, in 2015, Kit Siang announces that DAP wants to close down Pakatan Rakyat (and form Pakatan Harapan) because of the RUU355. But the RUU355 was mooted by Nik Aziz, not by Hadi Awang. And it was 16 years old. Since then, over those 16 years, DAP joined Barisan Alternatif in 1999 and then Pakatan Rakyat in 2008, both times in partnership with PAS.
