Police forfeiting the RM116.7 million to avoid returning the stolen RM43.3 million

If the police return the confiscated money, then they will have to return RM160 million and not just RM116.7 million. So the easy way out is to forfeit the money. Then those police officers who stole the RM43.3 million can keep the money and will not have to return it to Umno.

PDRM confiscated RM160 million in cash from the Pavilion Residences, but declared only RM116.7 million, hence RM43.3 million has gone missing

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Noor Rashid Ibrahim, said they may forfeit the RM116.7 million cash seized from former prime minister Najib Tun Razak’s residences under the anti-money laundering act even though Umno claims the money belongs to the party and not to Najib.

This is believed to be a move to avoid having to pay back a further RM43.3 million, which has lesap or disappeared into thin air.

The cash and valuables confiscated was never properly declared and accounted for so no one really knows how much was removed from the Pavilion Residences
