Will PDRM dare investigate its own IGPs?

Well, as everyone has been saying the last six weeks, Malaysia is a NEW Malaysia and in the NEW Malaysia it is all about justice, transparency, good governance, and all those other things that come with utopia. So, reopen the case and reinvestigate the Altantuya murder and let us see PDRM, Bakri Omar and Musa Hassan take the fall.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Tian Chua admitted doctoring this photograph and said he did it as a joke but it created the public perception that Najib Razak was behind Altantuya’s murder

This is what was reported today:

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) will study on whether there is a need to set up a committee to monitor the investigation into the murder of Mongolian model, Altantuya Shaariibuu. Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said the police would also review the investigation papers if there were any new aspects in the case to proceed with the investigation.

“We will recall earlier witnesses if there is a need and new evidence to facilitate the investigation,” he told a media conference after the 40th Ex-Police Association of Malaysia (PBPM) annual meeting here today. He said they would be called up if there were new elements on the case based on the police report lodged by Altantuya’s father, Dr Shaariibuu Setev recently.

Musa Safri is not NEW evidence because he was already mentioned 12 years ago

Basically, the Deputy IGP, Noor Rashid Ibrahim, said PDRM will reopen the Altantuya murder case if there is NEW evidence to warrant a reinvestigation based on the police report that Altantuya’s father made.

Actually, there is ‘new’ evidence and this ‘new’ evidence goes by the name of DSP Musa Safri, a police officer. But then this ‘new’ evidence is not really ‘new’ evidence because his name was already mentioned more than ten years ago.

Musa Safri was the man Abdul Razak Baginda spoke to about his ‘problem’ with Altantuya. Musa Safri was the man who was in front of Razak Baginda’s house the day Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, two more police officers, picked her up and allegedly murdered her a few hours later. Musa Safri was the man who told Razak Baginda the following day that the ‘Altantuya problem’ had been taken care of but did not reveal in what way the problem had been taken care of.

The police look after their own

There was one more police officer involved but she was not charged in return for turning state’s witness and implicating Azilah and Sirul in the murder. She was given immunity from prosecution for ‘hanging’ Azilah and Sirul, which is what Jho Low was offered if he is prepared to ‘hang’ Najib Tun Razak in the 1MDB and SRC International case.

Anyway, it appears that four police officers have been implicated in Altantuya’s murder. And the leader of that ring of police hit squad is DSP Musa Safri.

Altantuya was murdered in October 2006 and the murder trial started in June 2007. The two IGPs then were Mohd Bakri Omar (up to 11 November 2006) and Musa Hassan (from 12 November 2006). Hence if Musa Safri was given immunity then Bakri Omar and Musa Hassan are guilty of rigging the murder investigation to keep Musa Safri’s name out of the murder conspiracy.

So, with two IGPs included, that makes SIX police officers involved in Altantuya’s murder.

Was it Najib Tun Razak or IGP Musa Hassan who kept DSP Musa Safri’s name out of the whole thing to protect the image of PDRM?

In short, if what everyone is saying is true, then PDRM is guilty of denying Altantuya justice and two IGPs are behind this travesty. So, is PDRM prepared to reopen this case and reinvestigate the murder if PDRM and two IGPs are going to be proven guilty of a coverup?

Well, as everyone has been saying the last six weeks, Malaysia is a NEW Malaysia and in the NEW Malaysia it is all about justice, transparency, good governance, and all those other things that come with utopia. So, reopen the case and reinvestigate the Altantuya murder and let us see PDRM, Bakri Omar and Musa Hassan take the fall.

Abdul Gani Patail was the Attorney General then and he refused to call DSP Musa Safri to testify
