State stand on Dr M, Kit Siang told

(The Star) – DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang has been challenged to publicly state whether he supports Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as prime minister.

Gelang Patah MCA division chief Datuk Jason Teoh (pic) said Lim, who is Gelang Patah MP, should publicly state his stand as he had in the past accused Dr Mahathir of being a hegemonic, autocratic and racist prime minister.

“Lim bashed Dr Mahathir during his time as prime minister on various occasions, including for launching Ops Lalang to arrest Opposition politicians and for corruption,” he said in a statement Monday.

Teoh said that since Dr Mahathir had shown his willingness to take up the post of prime minister again if Pakatan Harapan won in the next general election, Lim should announce his stand.

He added that Lim, as a leader of the Opposition and DAP, owed this the people.

“If Lim, his son Guan Eng and other DAP leaders dare not clarify their stand, it shows that Pakatan does not have the guts to openly declare their prime ministerial candidate and is not worth the people’s trust,” Teoh said.
