Hadi: PAS doesn’t covet PM’s post
(MMO) – PAS members are not squabbling over who should be the Opposition’s candidate to be prime minister, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has highlighted.
The PAS president said his party was not concerned over the matter, and asserted that members would accept whomever the party endorses.
“Everybody is surprised, why has PAS been quiet? All of the PAS members and supporters have not being troubling themselves trying to pick a candidate either to be a village chief, assemblyman, parliamentarian or even a PM candidate,” he said in a statement.
He stressed that PAS was committed to its Islamist principles and would not seek positions of power.
