(NST) – Blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin believes DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang has admitted that the opposition party has been “beaten at its own game” on the online battlefront.

Commenting on Kit Siang’s posting yesterday, in which the veteran opposition leader had laid the blame on Umno and Barisan Nasional’s ‘Black Ops’ for sowing discord within DAP, Raja Petra said it appeared that Kit Siang was getting a taste of his own medicine.

“Somehow, though, Kit Siang does not like the taste of his own medicine, which was the reason for his blog posting yesterday,” the UK-based blogger wrote on the Malaysia Today website.

Raja Petra, better known as RPK, claimed it was DAP which in 2004 began utilising cyber warfare to flood the internet with negative postings about the government, BN, Umno, and others.

“Kit Siang is lamenting that Umno is not playing fair (and) not following the rules. Since when does DAP care about fairness and rules?

“To DAP, it has always been about the end justifying the means. It can one day announce that Pakatan Rakyat has been closed down and DAP does not want to have anything to do with Pas and the next day, announce that Pas has betrayed the opposition by leaving Pakatan Rakyat,” he claimed.

Raja Petra continued by saying that DAP had condemned Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for 30 years, only to embrace him into their fold later.

He remarked that DAP had for 10 years dominated cyberspace, and are now feeling the effects of the counter-push by Barisan Nasional, which began two years ago.

“And that is what really upset Kit Siang, as you may have noticed from his blog posting yesterday… and Kit Siang has more or less conceded defeat in his blog posting,” he claimed.
