Malaysian politics: Two years of toil and turmoil

(Malaysia Outlook) – The political scene in Malaysia over the past two years has been filled with toil and turmoil.

Allegations and claims have been thrown around, opinions were passed, judgments were made without trials.

In looking back from the period of December 2014 to December 2016, it would be near impossible not to mention the name of Malaysia’s former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

Having relinquished his post more than 10 years ago, Mahathir however has remained somewhat active politically, however it can be said that post-retirement, he has been the most active over the past two years.

Mahathir took to forming a new party in which he is now the chairman of, called Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi).

This was done in a bid to allegedly ‘Save Malaysia’ and to bring down Prime Minister Najib Razak of Barisan Nasional (BN).

MO Vision Channel takes a stroll over the past two years with Raja Sara Petra in the video below to refresh our memories over what has happened in the country’s political arena.
