Azmin, what about your ‘rasuah’?

In April this year, The Star reported: “DESPITE incurring costs amounting to RM1.1bil for providing 20 cubic metres of free water to households in Selangor, Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said the state would continue with the programme.

The programme, which was introduced in 2009, had benefited many,  especially the poor and the state has no plans to do away with it.”

Selangor is where most of the rich people live although the state does have its share of poor people. So that means millionaires as well as the lower income group receive Selangor state government aid, dedak, rasuah or whatever you wish to call it.

Millionaires do not receive BR1M. I am not a millionaire and I, too, do not receive BR1M. In fact, the government did not even pay for my five years university education.

Azmin Ali agrees with Tun Dr Mahathir that BR1M is rasuah. In that case Selangor should stop giving water away free, especially to rich people.

Is not the reason Selangor is giving free water due to vote buying purposes? And would that not also be called rasuah?
