Nazri: Ignore ‘senile’ Dr M

Nazri Aziz

(MMO) – Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should just keep quiet and not criticise the government as his remarks are indicative of someone going senile, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said today.

The Tourism and Culture Minister was responding to the former prime minister’s allegation that the government did not have enough money for the upcoming Budget 2017.

“If the government don’t have money, how are we going to run the country next year?

“Tell him, just to shut up. Better for him to keep quiet than people think he is stupid. He opens his mouth and we can confirm that he is really stupid,” Nazri told reporters when met in Parliament today.

The Umno Supreme Council member added the former prime minister’s attacks were driven by his anger towards Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for removing his son, Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir from power.

“He is going senile. I still spare him because he is going senile. He is driven by this revenge towards Najib for ousting his son.

“He is throwing a tantrum. Whatever he has done in the past year has not affected Najib. So he is taking cheap shots,” Nazri explained.

He also took a swipe at Dr Mahathir’s new party, Parti Bersatu Pribumi Malaysia which he claimed will be irrelevant in a couple of years, likening it to a Umno splinter party.

“How can it be bersatu when it is split from the main party. If you look at the creation of the party also you know that they are not united. It’s just showing how low class these people are,” Nazri said.

In a blog posting today, Dr Mahathir claimed that the government does not have enough in its coffers to provide sufficient allocations required to run the country.
