Sultan Sharafuddin’s consort proclaimed as Tengku Permaisuri Selangor
(The Star) – Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah’s consort Norashikin Abdul Rahman has been proclaimed as the Tengku Permaisuri Selangor effective Thursday (Sept 8).
A statement issued and signed by Selangor’s Council of the Royal Court secretary Hanafisah Jais said Sultan Sharafuddin’s consort would be known and addressed as Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin.
The statement also said Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin had been conferred the Seri Paduka Makhota Selangor (SPMS), which carries the title Datin Paduka Seri.
Sultan Sharafuddin married Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin on Aug 31 in a private ceremony at Istana Alam.
Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, 45, a television personality and former Malaysia Airlines stewardess has two children, Nur Amanda, 17, and Adam Salleh, 14, from a previous marriage.
The Selangor Ruler has two daughters, Tengku Zerafina and Tengku Zatashah, from his first marriage to Raja Zarina Raja Tan Sri Zainal, which ended in divorce.
He has a son, the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, from his marriage to American Cik Puan Nur Lisa Abdullah, which also ended in divorce.
