No further action against Phang over accusation of falsifying SD

Phang-Li-Koon

(NST) – The Attorney-General’s (AG) Chambers has decided against taking further action against businesswoman Phang Li Koon, who was accused of falsifying a statutory declaration (SD).

Penang police chief Datuk Abdul Ghafar Rajab said he was informed of the matter by the Deputy Public Prosecutor, and that the AG had decided to close the case.

“They told me two days ago that they will be taking no futher action.

“The case is now closed,” he told reporters today after the state police contingent monthly assembly.

Ghafar was asked to comment on whether Phang, who was accused of falsifying a statutory declaration, would be charged in court soon.

Phang, the seller of a bungalow purchased by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng at supposedly below market price, had made a statutory declaration a month ago claiming that she had no business dealings with the state government.
