IGP: Cops quizzing Dr M today

(Malay Mail Online)- The police are now recording a statement from Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar revealed this morning.

The national police chief said the former prime minister was called to have his statement taken because several police reports have been lodged over several allegedly seditious posts in his blog “chedet.cc”.

“Not investigate, we want to get his statement on what he wrote in the blog. We have received several reports, so we have to find out,” he told reporters at Bukit Aman today.

Khalid refused, however, to reveal the time and venue where Dr Mahathir’s statement would be taken, merely saying, “it is going on now” when pressed further.

When asked if the location is at Dr Mahathir’s office in Perdana Leadership Foundation in Putrajaya, he replied, saying: “Might be.”
