Najib visits Hadi at IJN

Prime Minister Najib Razak today visited PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, who has been admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur.

(Free Malaysia Today) – In a Facebook post, Najib said he met the Marang lawmaker after visiting his former information officer Nasir Safar, who was also admitted.

“I pray that Allah will grant him the best of health.”

This is not the first time that the Prime Minister has set aside political differences to visit those from across the divide.

Last year Najib visited then PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat when the latter was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in February. At the time, Nik Aziz was battling prostate cancer.

In 2014, Najib also visited Hadi Awang at IJN when the latter was admitted for heart problems.
