PAS FT Youth Lodges Police Report Against Jamil Khir and Che Mat

(Malaysian Digest) – PAS Federal Territory Youth Chief Kamaruzaman Mohamad today lodged a police report regarding the misused of tithe money by the Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP).

The report was lodged against the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Johari and Federal Territory Religious Department (JAWI) director, Che Mat Che Ali.

Kamaruzaman when met by reporters said the report was made based on the disclosures made by several Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders.

“The disclosure made by PKR is a set of documents by MAIWP in a voucher of RM32, 150 dated 29 April 2010 and a letter from the Auditor General to  Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid, confirming that the RM63, 650 tithe money used to pay legal costs of the Minister and director of JAWI,” said Kamaruzaman.

“The police report that was lodged today is to urge the police to investigate and take legal action against the MAIWP, Jamil Khir and Che Mat,” he added.

As a follow up, Kamaruzaman said they will send a memorandum to Che Mat this Thursday.
