Selangor Investment & Trade Mission to Taiwan
I was with the Selangor delegation led by State Exco Teresa Kok and Yaakob Sapari to Taiwan from 14 to 21st Dec 2008. In all, about 50 delegates from Selangor were there. The Taiwanese welcomed us with open arms. It was really heart-warming to receive such generous treatment .
Over 6 days we travelled from Taipei in the north, to Taichung in the centre and Tainan in the south. We got to visit research institutes, science parks, incubators, fruit farm, livestock research, orchid plantation. We even got to meet with our young Malaysians who set up a billion dollar IT company in Taiwan.
