Terima kasih, Rantau

Raja Sara Petra

At the start of the Rantau by-election campaign, I had some reservations that we could actually make it. I was told our chances were 60:40 but I still had doubts. I had forecasted a win of a majority of between 1,000 to 1,500 votes for Tok Mat.

Then, when Pakatan Harapan launched their Tok Mat’s RM10 million house in London, the RM3.5 million Umno-donation-to-PAS, and Rosmah Mansor’s two pink diamonds fitnah campaign, I knew that Tok Mat had won. Pakatan Harapan’s desperation revealed itself when they scraped the bottom of the barrel in looking for ‘issues’.

Then Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad cancelled his joint ceramah with Anwar Ibrahim while the joint Abdul Hadi Awang-Tok Mat ceramah proceeded as planned. Mahathir must have already known 48 hours before polling day that PKR had lost the Rantau by-election, which was why he cancelled his ceramah.

The final nail in the coffin was when YB Kula Segaran made a racist remark on how “only Indians will take care of Indians” and why they should not vote for a Malay.

So you see, slandering, racist remarks, and baseless accusations, no longer work, Pakatan. Thank you, Pakatan, for helping us win the Rantau by-election. Please continue to play the racist card, continue to not fulfil your promises, and continue to slander BN.

Terima kasih juga kepada Puteri Umno, Barisan Nasional, PAS and all BN component parties for your hard work in ensuring not only an Umno victory but also a disaster for PKR and Pakatan Harapan and its third by-election defeat in a row. We are coming for you in Jasin, Pakatan, to make it four defeats.
