Former S’gor MB wants to help the nation, hails ‘life-changing’ 6 months in jail
(The Vibes) – After abruptly leaving politics for more than 10 years, former Selangor menteri besar Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo is eyeing a return in the coming general election while describing his half-a-year in prison as “life-changing”.
In an interview with the Sun daily, he expressed an interest in running for a Selangor seat and even made a list of issues he aims to address, including the longstanding water woes.
However, Khir, who was sentenced to a year in prison in September 2015 for buying properties below market value, did not disclose his choice of constituency or which party banner he would be contesting under.
“Politics will enable me to do something good for the nation, and if I want to do it, I must start now,” he was quoted as saying.
