Sabah leaders appointed as PN Supreme Council members
(FMT) – STAR president Jeffrey Kitingan and SAPP chief Yong Teck Lee were among the Sabah leaders who have been appointed as Perikatan Nasional Supreme Council members.
Sabah PN chief Hajiji Noor, who is also chief minister, said Jeffrey, who is deputy chief minister, and Yong were both appointed as deputy chairmen for the political coalition at the national level.
Besides that, STAR secretary-general Senator Guandee Kohoi and SAPP deputy president Edward Dagul were also appointed as members of the PN Supreme Council.
Hajiji thanked Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also the PN chief, for the appointments, including choosing him as the state chief, saying this was a big responsibility for all of them.
He said he had met the Sabah PN component parties, namely PPBM, STAR, SAPP and PAS, and they had agreed to form an understanding to solidify the PN organisation at all levels.
Besides that, the parties also agreed to strengthen the relationship with parties in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah coalition, namely Barisan Nasional and PBS.
