Anwar plans to bring down Azmin by becoming the Selangor MB

There are two people whom Anwar Ibrahim hates like hell. One is Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and the other is Azmin Ali. And it is because of Azmin that Muhyiddin Yassin became PM8. Hence Anwar lost the job of PM8 due to Azmin. So Azmin needs to die.

First, we had Langkah Kajang. Then we had Langkah Port Dickson. And now, it seems, we are going to have a third Langkah — Langkah Kangkang somewhere in Selangor. And the objective of this third Langkah-Somewhere-in-Selangor is so that Anwar Ibrahim can take over as the new Selangor Menteri Besar.

But why does Anwar need a lowly job of Menteri Besar when he is already the Opposition Leader in Parliament and the Prime Minister-in-waiting?

Well these news reports can probably explain why:

Khalid Ibrahim was sacked as the Selangor MB for being too stingy with the state’s money

Okay, this 12-years running SPLASH story is an old story that made quite a splash back then — and is quite a long story. But let us go to the short version, and the short story is Anwar Ibrahim wanted then Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim to buy SPLASH for RM2.9 billion or so. However, Khalid disagreed because the company was worth less than 10% of that.

So, Khalid and Anwar clashed. (They also clashed because Khalid refused to give PKR’s candidates in the 2013 general election RM2 million each — Khalid argued that state money should not be used or abused for party purposes).

So, to cut another long story short, they launched Langkah Kajang in March 2014 and Khalid was ousted in August 2014. Initially, Anwar was supposed to take over from Khalid as the new Selangor MB and when that failed they proposed Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail instead.

But His Highness the Sultan of Selangor did not want either Anwar or his wife as MB, so Azmin Ali ended up as the new Selangor Menteri Besar instead. And this became possible because of the support of PAS.

DAP was very angry with PAS for supporting Azmin as MB. So, they closed down Pakatan Rakyat and formed Pakatan Harapan so that PAS could be ousted from the opposition coalition. PAS supported Azmin for MB but had to pay the price by being sacked from Pakatan.

Hence Anwar already wanted to become the Selangor MB back in 2013. After GE14 in 2018, Azmin put his proxy, Amirudin Shari, as the new MB. Around two months later, Amirudin bought over SPLASH for ten times its value. Of course, Amirudin was acting on behalf of Azmin. So if you can nail Amirudin then you can nail Azmin as well.

That is why Anwar wants to take over as the Selangor MB. Once he becomes MB, he can take action against Azmin for buying SPLASH at ten times what it is worth. If Anwar can nail Azmin’s balls to the wall on this SPLASH deal, then Azmin can be sent to his grave.

Anyway, KTemoc Konsiders has published DAP’s explanation as to why Pakatan Harapan collapsed (READ BELOW). And the reason is because of Mahathir’s stupidity and Azmin’s betrayal, while DAP is merely an innocent victim in the whole episode.

Azmin helped Muhyiddin Yassin become PM8

A DAP central executive committee member today blamed Dr Mahathir Mohamad for the political crisis leading to Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) fall from federal power in February and the subsequent collapse of state governments led by the coalition.

Ronnie Liu, who had openly criticised the former prime minister in the past, said there would have been no trouble if Mahathir had handed over power to Anwar Ibrahim.

Likewise, he said there would have been no problems if Mahathir had not resigned, and had heeded the advice of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, and if the veteran statesman had not proposed a unity government minus PH and other political parties.

“In the end, the PH government fell because of a power grab by those in Tun M’s party,” he said, referring to PPBM.

DAP plotted to oust Mahathir and ended up bringing down Pakatan Harapan

In a Facebook post, he made specific reference to former deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali and president Muhyiddin Yassin.

He added that it had been PPBM which had rejected the suggestion for anti-hopping laws which would have prevented the collapse of state governments in Johor, Melaka, Perak and Kedah.

“Tun M is the reason for the fall of PH, and he has yet to admit his mistake and apologise to the people.”

PPBM pulled out of PH after Mahathir resigned as prime minister in February, triggering a crisis which saw the king appointing Muhyiddin as prime minister to head a government comprising Umno and PAS.

Liu’s remarks follow the circulation of an audio recording of PH’s final meeting in February during which ministers and party leaders openly clashed over the question of Mahathir’s tenure as prime minister.

The two-hour recording of the presidential council meeting on Feb 21 revealed two factions, one insisting on a clear timeline for Mahathir to step down for Anwar and the other saying that talks about the transition of power had undermined the coalition’s credibility.
