Pakatan not giving up hope of Dr M remaining PM

(The Star) – Pakatan Harapan still believes Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) has the support of the majority of MPs and are gathering statutory declarations (SDs) to support this claim.

This comes after the King consented to naming Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as the eighth Prime Minister.

When met at the entrance of Yayasan Albukhary, Parti Amanah Negara deputy president Datuk Seri Salauddin Ayub said Pakatan also hopes to have another audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah to prove it has the numbers.

“We have been gathering the details including the statutory declarations,” he said claiming that they had about 112 signed SDs in support of Dr Mahathir as of 4pm today.

He also said Dr Mahathir is expected to issue a statement on the matter after the meeting.

Several Amanah leaders were also seen entering Yayasan Albukhary around 5.30pm, including president Mohamad Sabu and vice-president Datuk Seri Mujahid Yusof Rawa.
