Serious ‘horse-trading’ ongoing to form Johor govt, says state Amanah chief
There is serious “horse-trading” going on among the political parties here to form the new state government, says Johor Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) chief Aminolhuda Hassan.
(The Star) – He said that Pakatan Harapan was now trying to get assemblymen aligned to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to help them form the new state government.
“Yes, I can say that a lot of negotiations are still ongoing and hopefully we (Pakatan Harapan) will be able to return to power,” he said after having a press conference with eight of the candidates here on Wednesday (Feb 26).
He also stressed that all the nine assemblymen from Amanah would be loyal and support a Pakatan government in Johor.
He dismissed a claim made by state Barisan Nasional chief Datuk Hasni Mohammad that two of its assemblymen will be crossing over.
