Haziq must be wondering who he was with that night, says Najib
(NST) – Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak believes that former Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz must be wondering who he was with that “memorable” night in Sandakan following the Attorney-General’s (AG) announcement today.
Tan Sri Tommy Thomas earlier announced the AG’s Chambers will not be prosecuting any person in the case of several sex videos allegedly involving a minister.
Taking to his Facebook page, Najib said Haziq was to be pitied following this update.
“Furthermore Haziq himself admitted who he was with that night (or did he lodge a fake police report?). But with the announcement made by the AG today, pity Haziq.
“I believe he is now wondering who he was with that memorable night. He must be confused,” Najib said.
Commenting on the clips and drawing from his latest predicament pertaining to the audio clips revealed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday, Najib wrote, “Can I advise you something, authorities?”
“Actually it is not that difficult if the authorities want to know who are the persons in the sex clips. That is if you want to (know). Many have given their opinions on this.
“When they were in the midst of ‘action’ in the videos, the television was switched on loudly. The hotel’s CCTV (closed-circuit television camera) recordings were also handed over to the authorities.
“You can check the time, who entered whose room according to the hotel’s CCTV (recordings) and compare it with the time the television programme in question was aired in the sex videos,” he remarked.
Haziq had come forward last year, alleging he was one of the individuals in a series of sex clips leaked to the press.
He claimed in a police report that the person with him in the clips was a minister.
After reviewing statements presented to the AGC by the police, Tommy said in a statement today that the Deputy Public Prosecutor recommended that no prosecution be made.
