The aim is to eliminate PPBM by eliminating Azmin

And that, dear readers, is why Azmin needs to be killed off. He was going to defect to PPBM to ensure that the post of Prime Minister is not lost to PKR. If Azmin defects and brings the post of Deputy Prime Minister with him, PKR has not much future. However, if the post of Deputy Prime Minister remains in PKR’s hands, then PPBM will soon lose the post of Prime Minister and that means PPBM would have no future instead.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali said people should not resort to cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage, reported The Star today.

Earlier, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said, “Things like these are dirty. If you cannot compete with someone don’t do something like this.”

It is ironical that Mahathir and Azmin moan and groan about “cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage” and how dirty such political games are and that “if you cannot compete with someone don’t do something like this.”

Actually, this has been Malaysia’s political culture, especially for Umno, since 1969. The only thing is in those days they used “surat layang” and books. Today, they use WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat, the Internet and videos. Modern technology but same old SOP.

50 years ago Tunku was ousted also using the same “dirty, cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage”

Tunku Abdul Rahman was brought down using this method (plus many lives were lost in the race riots that this SOP triggered). So was Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah (if not Ku Li would have been Malaysia’s Fifth Prime Minister back in 1987 and Mahathir would have ruled for just six years instead of 22).

Then, of course, we have Anwar Ibrahim, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib Tun Razak. All three were brought down using “cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage” (to quote Azmin) and “dirty” politics (to quote Mahathir).

Azmin should be the last one to complain. Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim was ousted using “dirty, cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage.” Rafizi Ramli and Saifuddin Nasution travelled the country to “expose” Khalid’s “secrets”.

Eventually, they were forced to apologise to Khalid to settle their case out of court but the apology was of no use because by then Khalid had already been ousted and Azmin had taken over as the new Selangor Menteri Besar.

It is Azmin’s karma to receive the same fate as what they did to Khalid Ibrahim

So, “dirty, cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage” is not always bad. It can sometimes be good. “Dirty, cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage” enabled Azmin to become the new Selangor Menteri Besar.

And Mahathir would have been Prime Minister for only six years if Ku Li had not been ousted by “dirty, cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage” in 1987. Or Mahathir would have been Prime Minister for only 17 years if Anwar had not been ousted by “dirty, cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage” in 1998. And Mahathir would not be Prime Minister today if Najib had not been ousted by “dirty, cruel and filthy acts of political sabotage” in May last year.

Yes, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

WHAT THIS GAME IS REALLY ALL ABOUT

Anyway, the greatest loser in this latest sex scandal is not Azmin, although he is a loser as well. It is Mahathir. Mahathir was using Azmin to block Anwar. Anwar wants to take over as the new Deputy Prime Minister as soon as possible and his wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, has already told Mahathir she is prepared to resign to make way for her husband.

Dr Wan Azizah told Mahathir she wants to resign so that Anwar can take over as the new Deputy Prime Minister

In fact, this discussion was held a couple of months ago before Ramadan and the target date for Wan Azizah to vacate her post for Anwar is some time after Hari Raya, which means around now.

This will mean Anwar’s succession to the throne on or before May 2020 will be carved in stone.

Azmin is also expected to resign from PKR and join PPBM before the end of this year. This is to ensure that if Wan Azizah throws in her resignation letter (thinking this will pave the way for Anwar to take over), and if Mahathir appoints Azmin instead of Anwar as the new Deputy Prime Minister, the post of the next Prime Minister will remain in the hands of PPBM and not shift to PKR.

Mahathir has to make sure that the post of Prime Minister stays in the hands of PPBM. Once the post is lost to PKR it can never go back to PPBM. It will always remain in the hands of PKR. And this is what DAP also wants to see happen: the post of Prime Minister transferring over to PKR and not remain in PPBM’s hands.

Once Anwar takes over as Prime Minister, that post, and the post of Deputy Prime Minister as well, will remain in the hands of PKR and will never go back to PPBM

For 63 years from 1955 to 2018, the post of Prime Minister has always belonged to Umno. Over the last one year, and maybe for another one year at the most, the post of Prime Minister is in the hands of PPBM. And that is the only “value” PPBM has (in terms of seats it is no better than Amanah). Once the post of Prime Minister shifts over to the hands of PKR, PPBM might as well close down because there is no longer anything of value in that party.
