PKR Julau chief meets 3 Teras members registered as PKR members

Apart from the three members, it was said that 24 other members of Teras had also been registered online as PKR Julau members without their knowledge.

(The Borneo Post) – The chairman of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Julau branch, Semana Sawang, yesterday said he had met with three members of Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras) who were rumoured to be unhappy because a certain individual had registered them as PKR members.

Apart from the three members, it was said that 24 other members of Teras had also been registered online as PKR Julau members without their knowledge.

“We knew this matter two or three days ago but we had yet to meet or come face to face with the 27 Teras members rumoured to join PKR at that time.

“Yesterday (Saturday), three representatives of the 27 members had met me and informed me of the actual matter,” he said when contacted here yesterday.

He was asked to comment on news which had gone viral that 27 Teras members from Julau had felt unhappy after their names were registered online as members of PKR without their knowledge by a certain individual in June.

Semana said he only advised them to lodge a police report.

“I have advised them to take action based on laws but they want to discuss among themselves first,” he added.

Separately, Julau member of Parliament Larry Sng in a statement carried by local newspapers yesterday told members of PKR Julau not to vote at branch election if they are suspicious about their membership in the party.

He also said they could come to his service centres in Julau and Pakan to cancel their membership.

At press time, Larry could not be reached for comment on the issue of the 27 Teras members.
