Guan Eng and Penang government told to apologise to MACC over RM6.3 billion undersea tunnel probe attacks
(Yahoo News) – Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and the state government must apologise to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for attacking and falsely claiming that the anti-graft agency was persecuting DAP politically over the proposed RM6.3 billion undersea tunnel project.
Barisan Nasional strategic communications (BNSC) deputy director Eric See-To said, for a long time, the state government had alleged that MACC’s investigation into the undersea tunnel project was political persecution.
He said it was now proved that the MACC was right to investigate the project.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and the state government must apologise to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for attacking and falsely claiming that the anti-graft agency was persecuting DAP politically over the proposed RM6.3 billion undersea tunnel project.
“I am also sure more issues will come to light when MACC completes its investigations.
“As such, Lim and the the state government should apologise to MACC for attacking them and falsely claiming that MACC was politically persecuting DAP,” See-To said in his latest Facebook posting today.
On Tuesday, a 37-year-old businessman, with the title of Datuk Seri, was arrested for allegedly receiving RM19 million cash in a failed attempt to stop the MACC investigation.
He is the fifth person to be detained by MACC in the probe into the undersea tunnel project.
