Kelantan palace revokes Husam’s Datuk title
Amanah vice-president Husam Musa along with fellow party leader Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah returned their awards today.
(FMT) – The Kelantan palace has revoked the Datukship of Husam Musa, the former PAS vice-president who is now with Amanah.
Sultan Muhammad V also revoked the royal title of another Amanah leader, Wan Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah, a former Kota Bharu MP.
A letter from the state secretary to the duo states that their “Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia” awards, carrying the Datuk title, were revoked yesterday.
“We take this opportunity to express our gratitude and undivided loyalty to Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Muhamad V,” they added.
Husam is vice-president of Amanah, the splinter party formed by a group of PAS leaders in the wake of the divisive PAS muktamar in 2015.
Husam served as the state exco in charge of Economic Planning, Finance and Welfare, under the administration of the late Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.
Wan Rahim is considered a veteran in PAS, and last contested against Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah in the 2013 polls.
