A scenario to ponder over

(Malaysian Chinese News) – If we think carefully, this is the beautiful scenario under Najib’s leadership and through his various policies. DAP refuses to agree or endorse it just because it wants to seize the federal power.

Some people have thought of a very interesting scenario in which former prime minister Tun Mahathir has succeeded in forcing out Datuk Seri Najib in the same manner he forced out Tun Abdullah and returned to UMNO to become the prime minister. But he refuses to take DAP into Barisan Nasional and make the party stay out as an opposition. How would DAP behave in such a scenario?

Based on DAP’s behaviour now, it can be believed that DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang would rush up and embrace Najib and work together with him to save the country. He would do his utmost to condemn Mahathir, accusing him of corruption and cronyism, switching back to the scenario where DAP was making all kinds of criticism against Mahathir.

Next, DAP would openly endorse Najib’s concept, especially the 1Malaysia concept which has held all Malaysians in close unity as under this concept, all Najib’s policies have been fair to all races.

BRIM for example is a praiseworthy project because it helps people of all races qualified for financial aid in a fair manner. This would not have happened during Mahathir’s era.

Besides this, DAP would listen to their colleague Tan Seng Giaw who once said Najib as the prime minister and finance minister was only the chairman of the advisory panel of 1MDB under article 117 of its constitution. As such, Najib was not responsible for the daily operations and thus should not be probed.

DAP would then confess that Najib had not been involved in the 1MDB affair and that it is a mistake to pursue Najib relentlessly over this issue, which, it would admit, was only a political tactic of the opposition to confuse people.

DAP would also admit that Najib has in reality managed the economy well because under his administration, the country has not only sailed through the global oil crisis safely but also maintained the vitality of the economy and the growth rate.

Not only that, DAP would also say that Najib had made good his promise to reduce our national debt, from 54.5% of our GDP in 2014 to 50.9% in the first half of 2017.

All these achievements are no easy task. Driven by such favourable conditions, foreign investors have taken Malaysia seriously and pumped in huge investments in the expectation of greater returns. All the credit should go to Najib’s effective administration.

This is only an imagination and is unlikely to happen. Nevertheless if we think carefully, this is the beautiful scenario under Najib’s leadership and through his various policies. DAP refuses to agree or endorse it just because it wants to seize the federal power.

We all know the present DAP has blind-folded itself and danced with the father of corruption which the party has lambasted previously. Worse, DAP even wants the people to believe that the person whom they have condemned in the past is now the hero to save the nation. As such, we should junk the party which cannot distinguish between black and white in the coming election. What are we waiting for?
