Can DAP Be Trusted?

It is no secret that the DAP led by its advisor Lim Kit Siang wants to win the upcoming 14th general elections. Together with Pakatan Harapan, DAP has set its sights on wresting Putrajaya away from Barisan Nasional.

Can the rakyat trust the DAP?

Let’s take a look.

Is DAP anti Malay?
————————–
The thing is DAP has been branded anti-Malay by many Malays.
Worse the party has also been labelled as anti Islam.
Is this true?
DAP party leaders have denied this many times.
But the Malays are not convinced.
Whatever it is DAP has to do a lot of campaigning among the Malays.
To dispel the perception that it is anti Malay and anti-Islam.
DAP has to do a lot of convincing especially among the rural folk that is not pro Chinese and is a party for all the rakyat.
This is not easy to do as it has been labelled anti-Malay for decades.
Will the rakyat be convinced that DAP cares for all?

Is DAP a family and crony-based party?
—————————————————–
Many Malaysians also see the DAP as a family-based and a race-based party.
The rakyat sees DAP as belonging to Lim Kit Siang and his son Lim Guan Eng.
Disgruntled party members also see the party as being crony-based.
So DAP must not point finger at UMNO as being a family-based or a crony-based party.
This is because DAP itself is also seen as a family-based party.

Finally DAP holding its re-election? Why after five years?
——————————————————————————-
After four years, DAP finanlly announced its re-election date this month.
To recap, the Registrar of Societies has declared DAP’s Central Executive Committee as illegal and has ordered the party to hold a re-election.
But that was in 2012 and the party only declared this month that it will hold the re-election on November 12.
Why the hold up DAP? Why did the party wait five years?
Former DAP secretary Bukit Mas Seremban S.Vijainathan Sivanathan told the New Straits Times on October 1 that if DAP is sincere and trustworthy and has got nothing to hide, it would have held the re-election in 2014.

DAP wants a Chinese to be Prime Minister
——————————————————–
Despite denying that he wants to be Prime Minister, everybody knows that Lim Kit Siang is eyeing the top post.
Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi said in a statement on October 8 that the DAP adviser has many tricks up his sleeves to deceive his allies in Pakatan Harapan.
Lim continues to say that he does not want to be Prime Minister.
But he might change his mind if Pakatan Harapan wins the general elections.
This might not go down well with the Malays who make up 60 percent of the population.
They fear that if a non-Malay become Prime Minister, their Bumiputera rights will be stripped.
They are also afraid that if a Chinese become prime minister, Islam will no longer be the country’s official religion.

Opposition got too many captains
——————————————-
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said on October 9 that the opposition which include the DAP has too many captains.
This include Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and now Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
This is all very confusing because a ship should only have one captain.
This disunity is not good for the rakyat and just imagine what would happen if Pakatan Harapan rule the country.

Lim Kit Siang should retire as he is losing confidence
———————————————————————-
Lim Kit Siang should also retire as he is losing confidence to oppose BN.
BN strategic communications director Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan said this is because Lim had used Tun Mahathir to lead Pakatan Harapan despite DAP being the lead member in the pact.
Despite being the undisputed leader of DAP for 50 years, it seems that Lim has lost confidence.
So it is better for Lim Kit Siang to retire.

Did Kit Siang receive RM1 billion from Tun Mahathir?
————————————————————-
There is also allegation that Kit Siang received RM1 billion from Tun Mahathir as alleged by blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.
This allegation is very serious and Lim Kit Siang has threatened to sue.
Umno supreme council member Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi however has challenged Lim Kit Siang to sue Raja Petra.
Whichever way, this controversy is already tarnishing DAP’s image.
Lim Kit Siang has to explain to the rakyat who deserves to know the truth.

DAP is always flip flopping
————————————-
In the 1990s, it was DAP which insisted on the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Bank Negara Malaysia foreign exchange scandal.
Umno information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa said that now, DAP has remained quiet over the inquiry to be held on Tun Dr Mahathir.
Why the flip flop DAP?

DAP is also plagued with many issues
———————————————-
DAP just like UMNO or Barisan Nasional is mired with so many issues.
This include Lim Guan Eng’s corruption case.
One of Penang’s exco Phee Boon Poh was also arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for his alleged involment in a factory in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
And in Melaka earlier this year, four DAP state leaders quit the party.
So the rakyat must be wise and make their own decisions.
Who can the rakyat trust?
Barisan Nasional? Or the DAP led Pakatan Harapan?
