PAS shuts the door on Pribumi
(The Star) – PAS has shut the door on any political cooperation with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi), which it deems as “rudderless”.
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang (pic) said that the party had evaluated Pribumi and decided against forging any cooperation with them.
“We have assessed Pribumi and they seem rudderless without any clue as to who is leading the party or who is following them.
“PAS has decided not to have any relationship with that party,” he told reporters after opening the 63rd muktamar here Saturday.
Abdul Hadi was responding to a question on PAS’ view of Pribumi and whether there would be any political cooperation.
In February, PAS announced that it was holding talks with Pribumi and was working towards forming a political framework for the 14th general election.
Pribumi has been courting PAS in an attempt to avoid three-cornered fights during the polls.
