Mukhriz to Tunku Abdul Aziz: Prove claims I want to be PM or I’ll sue

(NST) – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir has challenged former DAP vice-chairman Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim to prove his claims that he (Mukhriz ) would be prime minister if Pakatan Harapan wins the 14th general election.

Mukhriz said if the latter fails to show proof or name the source from which he had obtained the information, he will not hesitate to take legal action against Tunku Abdul Aziz.

“I deny Tunku Abdul Aziz’s allegations and he must disclose who his informer is. “If he does not do so, I will sue him,” Mukhriz was quoted as saying in a report in Sinar Harian today.

Earlier, Tunku Abdul Aziz had claimed that PPBM chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, and DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang, had agreed to elect Mukhriz as the next premier if Pakatan Harapan wins the upcoming election.

Mukhriz said the allegations were unfounded and defamatory.

“I wonder how someone who we know as a great person, can utter such an absurd statement in a defamatory manner.

“I was surprised that he can believe in such propaganda to issue that statement,” said Mukhriz in the daily’s report.

He added that such statements were only meant to confuse people about the real purpose of PPBM and Pakatan Harapan.
